CHURCH SERVICES

Church services are held on Sunday mornings in our sanctuary beginning with a Morning Service (Jamerkoutyoun) at 9:00 a.m. and Divine Liturgy (Soorp Badarak) at 10:00 a.m. You can follow the Liturgy in the The Divine Liturgy hymnal provided in the pews.

There are five major Feast Days on the Armenian Church Calendar. These are: Christmas and Epiphany – Soorp Dzenoont/Asdvadzahaydnootyoon, Holy Resurrection – Soorp Harootyoon, Transfiguration – Aylagerbootyoon/Baydzaragerbootyoon, Assumption – Verapokhoomn Soorp Asdvadzadzni, and the Exaltation of the Holy Cross – Veratsman soorp khatchi. The Armenian Church has seven Sacraments which include Baptism, Chrismation, Repentance, Communion, Matrimony, Ordination, and Last Annointment. Church services are held each Sunday and throughout the year on the various Feast Days.

Wedding, baptism, and funeral services are provided to those who request them.

Hokehankist, a memorial service for the departed, is said upon request for our departed loved ones at the end of the Divine Liturgy (Soorp Badarak) around 11:45 a.m.. You may request Hokehankists in advance and donate altar flowers or provide coffee hour refreshments in memory of your loved ones. Arrangements may be made by calling the church office during the work week.

The church is in existence so that we serve our Lord through our various activities. Throughout the year, we welcome our parishioners to participate in church services, as well as in the many church-related activities.
